Prepare to get better at Instagram
If you’re not using Instagram to market your products and services and connect to customers, you’re already way behind. Now, you can use Instagram to learn from and be inspired by other businesses.
Instagram has launched @instagramforbusiness, an account that, according to Instagram’s blog, will “run exclusive, behind-the-scenes stories that inspire, inform and showcase the work done by three important groups in our business community from around the world – brands, small businesses and creative agencies.”
Instagram wants to show off how businesses can maximize their potential on the photo and video sharing platform, and create a space where business owners, entrepreneurs, and marketers can connect.
Find inspiration and encouragement
Follow @instagramforbusiness to get insider tips and encouraging stories about how small and big businesses alike have used Instagram to stay connected to fans to build their brands. Instagram has reached out to businesses to share their stories.
Flowers for Dreams, a small floral delivery business in Chicago, will represent small businesses in upcoming posts. Instagram reached out to BBDO New York, an ad agency, to represent creative agencies on @instagramforbusiness.
Kicking things off with Ben & Jerry’s
Representing global brands, the whole she-bang was kicked off by ice cream company Ben and Jerry’s. Here’s an excerpt from some of the @instagramforbusiness posts written by Ben and Jerry’s global digital marketing manager, Mike Hayes:
“From a very early stage, we realized how powerful Instagram was in connecting with our fans and telling our story. We want to talk to fans where they are, whether that’s at a musical festival or on social media. As more of our fans joined Instagram, we leveraged advertising to reach even more of them.”
“There isn’t one way to tell a story”
Hayes adds, “Instagram has made us realize that there isn’t one way to tell a story: There are lots of different ways and approaches… Over the past four years, we’ve developed our own style and have leveraged Instagram to connect with fans all over the world.”
“Instagram has allowed us to leverage the relationship we have with our fans and make them even stronger,” Hayes concludes.
