MRED + 10K = simplified data for Realtors
Midwest Real Estate Data LLC (MRED) has partnered with 10K Research and Marketing on an upcoming release of their web based housing market analytics tool, “The Thing” which is set to go live in August 2011 to MRED’s 40,000 customers.
“MRED is one of the most respected MLS organizations in the world. We are excited that they have selected 10K to bring an interactive and intuitive stats solution to their subscribers,” said Mark Allen, Chief Executive Officer of 10K.
“Having a deep understanding of your local housing market and being able to communicate information about that market in an understandable way are prerequisites for success as a real estate professional,” said MRED’s Chief Executive Officer, Russ Bergeron. “Today’s consumer has access to more information than ever before. The Thing will give our customers – real estate professionals – the ability to deliver information highly relevant to that buyer or seller, and in a way they can easily understand and absorb. This tool will help our brokers, agents and appraisers do more business.”
The advantage of being a Realtor
The timing of this news is uncanny as we just wrote about the cultural implications of infographics and complicated data charted in a visually simple and aesthetic way. With media companies offering real estate search putting out real estate data, Realtors have the advantage of having access to the MLS with up to date and accurate listing data.
In years past, agents have developed their own systems or relied on third parties to make sense of the massive amounts of data from the MLS, but with “The Thing” by 10K, with very few clicks, you have accurate data that is easy for you to present to clients in real time without the wait of extensive spreadsheet calculation and charting.
10K has launched “The Thing” in seven statewide initiatives and several local association and MLSs, so if you don’t know whether or not you do or will have access, email your local association a link to this article to ask about the status of market analytics currently available to you.
