Making all of your smart devices smarter
The ubiquitous use of mobile devices has reshaped the way people live their lives. Using apps for every facet of life is one way people acclimate themselves to dealing with personal or professional matters in the digital age.
These solutions offer us a way to take care of our needs in an immediate fashion, circumventing drawn out processes whether it comes to paying for bills or for the purposes of communicating with friends. Being able to incorporate mundane tasks into a digital platform so that users can achieve nearly anything remotely is the aim for many businesses that hope to expand the reach of the Internet of Things into out daily lives.
Enter WigWag, the device connector
Effectively addressing the duality of a person’s personal and professional life is one way that WigWag hopes to make their impact toward that goal felt.
By utilizing their app, users are enabled via Bluetooth, INSTEON, Z-Wave and Zigbee to integrate their homes and offices into the app so that tasks can be achieved remotely. The app stands at the forefront toward the mission of building smart-home and smart-offices, much like the way the smart-phone has changed the impact of that tool.
Homeowners and business owners can connect more meaningfully
For homeowners, being able to stay connected with their houses while on the go allows them to balance their professional and personal lives. This means that problems like leaving a light on, or not being sure if you had locked the door on your way out, can be alleviated from the innate stresses of everyday life as they can be addressed remotely. This connectivity allows employees to have more focus on the task at hand by automating many processes that affect their personal lives.
For business owners, remote connectivity is becoming a necessity. Working from home or from the field is an inherent benefit for employees that can improve their job performance and the success of a company’s business as a whole. By optimizing the synchronicity that exists between mobile devices, WigWag offers business owners a way to afford their employees the benefits of working remotely while achieving a reciprocal benefit for companies themselves.
Harnessing the Internet of Things
For any company, being able to harness the impact of the Internet of Things in order to achieve advanced remote connectivity can have a huge impact on their business. WigWag shows how being able to effectively utilize remote connectivity tools is becoming a must for any company.

Wigwag has great potential – the issue is it was funded 2 years ago on Kickstarter, has not yet shipped a single thing to backers and management do not respond when asked what the timeframe for shipping is !!
