Making and keeping professional goals
Whether it’s the first of the year, or at a milestone, we all sit down at a desk during our professional career, we examine our performance, and we set targets for how we will do in the future. It is the sign of being a civilized person and someone connected to society – you care about doing a better job. But are you one of the millions of people who just can’t seem to keep their professional goals?
Why is that? Why do we set goals and fail to achieve them? Perhaps it has more to do with how we create the professional goals than what we do (or don’t do) to achieve them.
Goal setting is often done poorly, and keeping them is almost a joke in our culture, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We sit down in the video above with the ultra productive Melissa Zavala to find out how she creates and keeps her professional goals.
