Making hard choices is hard work
Philosopher Ruth Chang says we’re thinking about hard choices the wrong way, and offers a powerful new framework for shaping who we truly are.
When we worry about what career to pursue, what city to live in, who to commit to, and so forth, Chang says there is a better way to go about making these choices rather than just agonizing and losing sleep. She notes that this same process can be applied to topics as simple as choosing donuts or cereal.
