Vuka: stunning, unconventional coworking space for creatives in Austin

Vuka is more than just a row of desks in an office park, no, every detail is designed to foster a creative’s process and drive. And it’s located in the heart of Austin.

Taking coworking to another level

Stylishly unconventional coworking space, Vuka, is nestled deep in the heart of start-up hub Austin, Texas. Coworking is a great way for freelancers, startups, and non-profits to reduce overhead costs by sharing workspace with one another.

The name Vuka comes from the Zulu word for “wake up,” and as such, Vuka intends to inspire creative types to “wake up to their calling.” The target audience is “entrepreneurs, digital artists…coders, creators, and forward thinkers.” Besides offering chic and convenient accommodations, Vuka also aims to provide a creative and productive environment that encourages networking and collaboration between like minds.

According to one coworker, Vuka is “not merely ‘just another co-working space’” but “has turned out to be a truly amazing realm of collaboration, cooperation, and willing contribution.”

Gorgeous, modern, tailored to your inner creative

Vuka has a distinctly modern feel, with tree-inspired chandeliers providing warm lighting, and well-furnished and cozily carpeted nooks for brainstorming with collaborators or cuddling up with your laptop.

In addition to desk spaces and offices, Vuka offers lounge areas, conference rooms, fast Wi-Fi, and a full kitchen stocked with fair trade coffee and yerba mate. A day pass to work at Vuka is only $20, and a general coworking pass at $200 per month includes two hours of time in the conference room and four guest passes per month. For $400 per month, you can reserve your own desk (plus get four hours in the conference room and six guest passes), and Vuka can also make arrangements with startups and non-profits to reserve entire offices. There are extra fees for using break out rooms, such as the loft, the “connection room” and the “relaxation room.”

If you’re interested in finding a comfortable and creative space to share with other freelancers or small businesses, Vuka offers tours, anytime from Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
