Price per square foot in 63 metro areas
Based on data from Zillow.com, CreditSesame compared the median price per square foot in 63 metro areas across America to see what you can buy for $250,000 to $500,000 and even $1,000,000. They have created an interactive infographic for comparison of the 63 metro areas.
By clicking on any city, you will see the median price at the top of the infographic along with the price per square foot and by rolling over the white circles noting 250, 500 and 1M, a house pops up on the left on the grid showing what size home in that city each price will get you.
It is interesting to compare cities from one another for example, in San Jose, $1,000,000 will buy 2,874 square feet while the same amount buys 14,286 square feet in Dallas/Fort Worth.
