Home buying in 2011
The 2011 National Association of Realtors® Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers surveyed 5,708 home buyers and sellers, discovering that the percentage of home buyers using a Realtor is at a ten year high, one third of all home buyers didn’t sign a disclosure agreement in 2011, consumers want repesentation for more than just finding a home, the average home buyer finds an agent by word of mouth and typically only interviews one agent while home buyers rank tech savviness as the least important characteristic in their agent.
The buyer demographic has shifted fairly dramatically this year, resulting in older, more stable, higher income individuals as the average buyer with a diminishing pool of first time buyers.
