Political cronyism alive on both sides of the aisle

Business is cozy with big government

Conservative Washington Times blogger, Henry D’Andrea wrote today, “Barack Obama had many accomplishments in 2011. Like spending a nation into bankruptcy and conducting dozens of crony capitalist deals,” citing the Solyndra scandal, unemployment, increasing the debt and the credit rating downgrade. Obama supporters point to the President’s taking the reigns to clean up the Bush mess while critics use Solyndra as a talking point against the President.

Geke.us has opted to ignore party lines and has charted how cronyism is alive and well on all sides of the aisle, in all branches and at all levels. Charting companies like GE and Enron and industries like oil and pharmaceuticals, the following charts reveal the connections between big government and big business (click any image to enlarge).
