Expanding across the ocean
It was recently announced that Keller Williams has plans to expand into Singapore and is eyeballing potential franchise locations, breaking into the international real estate market and says that over the next ten years, they plan to grow overseas by 75,000 associates. Along with profit sharing, their training, coaching, technology and marketing support will be available to international franchisees.
“Some may wonder why we’ve chosen now to take Keller Williams Realty worldwide,” said CEO Mark Willis in a statement, “considering the state of the real estate market, and our answer is simple: momentum. Our model continues to provide a platform for growth and profitability despite the market. We have experienced unparalleled growth and technological innovation over the past five years and this signifies the next logical step in the growth as a company.”
Keller Williams was recently named the second largest real estate company in America and has been franchising for 20 years as of 2011, now claiming over 80,000 associates in over 700 offices, representing 24 percent of the top 500 brokerages for closed transactions and 28 percent of the top 500 brokerages for closed volume as named by REAL Trends’ annual brokerage report.
