MRED joins growing national real estate industry data co-op

One of the largest MLSs in the nation

Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) has announced that they are now part of CoreLogic’s MLS Data Co-Op which CoreLogic says “eliminates the MLS island effect” by connecting brokers and agents to other MLSs across the country, giving agents access to agent-to-agent data not available on public-facing websites from MLSs located in different regions of the country. MRED serves Chicago, northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and northwest Indiana and is one of the largest MLSs in the nation, serving roughly 8,000 real estate offices and 40,000 real estate professionals.

The MLS Data Co-op presents users all of the information they need on a single screen with access to all MLS listings through a map-centric interface, offering data and reports like tax records, RealAVM™ valuations, listing history, nearby schools, neighborhood data, community demographics, real estate trends, foreclosure information and more. MLS Data Co-op™ works with all popular browsers and platforms, and uses a common format for listings across MLSs without sacrificing locally unique data values.

While initially only for use with MRED’s own listing content, MRED plans to open up reciprocal access with well over 100 other MLSs which have already joined the Co-op. This will quickly lead to MRED’s real estate professionals having access to listings from across the country and Canada, not only giving them the ability to widely market their listings, but opening a doorway for them to expand their referral networks.

Not a public-facing site

The MLS Data Co-op™ is not a public-facing web site, but is reserved for use by real estate professionals, thus providing access to more detailed listing content and far more data than available on the consumer oriented websites.
