Moving more than the stapler

So, I decided to change brokerages. It wasn’t nearly as dramatic as some of the stories I have heard. In fact, it really wasn’t dramatic at all.  I made a decision, those involved respected it, and everybody else seems really happy for me.

Now, over the weekend, I am going to go pack up my office and turn in my key. While that is a fairly large task, it is not nearly as daunting as updating my office space online. Everything has to be updated to the new logo and new office address. Thank goodness I was smart enough to own my own website and email address. That change would have been…well, tough. Just redesigning the layout is taking some time.

I will be honest, while it would not have changed my decision to move, I will say that had I considered the undertaking of updating my entire online life, I would have had one more cup of coffee during the conversation.

When was the last time you did a full check of you information? Is the email, phone number, address, picture still reflective of who you are?

Have you made this change before?  Tips would be great. The only two that jump out at me are going through my email folder that holds the sign in emails and then googling myself and checking what I find.

Sounds like a weekend…
