Innovative use of simple platform
Recently, we introduced you to Jux.com, proclaiming it could possibly be the sexiest underground blogging platform online and for the zero dollars it costs every month, it is worth much more – it’s like a much better, cleaner, more dynamic, full screen version of tumblr and we are addicted to using the platform ourselves as well as peeking through other users’ Jux sites.
We featured a Jux site that put a spotlight on luxury real estate and the Park City area in Utah with its gorgeous full screen pictures of listings and the incredible surroundings. One D.C. real estate professional used Jux and stepped it up a notch by making all of her photos and information about local real estate developments to create a streamlined, easy to peruse site.
Today, we feature style house realty’s side blog on Jux called the “holiday design guide by style house realty,” and it is extremely clever! Amanda Lopez, owner of style house put together a creative site devoted not only to interior design for the holidays but of a “holiday listing” and a post promoting their Pinterest.com page. Her clever use of integrating various efforts on to one page are fascinating.
We imagine that a banker could use Jux to do a side blog with pictures of the lending team, or a grocer could use it to highlight holiday specials, while crafters could offer up full screen shots of their products, but with a twist – make it all about the holidays, brilliant! The banker could have staff in cheesy Santa hats, the grocer could feature the various dinner ideas with ingredients and recipes for the holidays, and the crafters can feature their holiday products without featuring their whole line. Neat.
