Photoshop template for Facebook cover photos
Facebook has become famous for moving things around on users, changing privacy settings, and generally being a pain, but perhaps that is the cost of a service users don’t directly pay for.
For those of you who prefer to have a custom Facebook cover photo to stand out and offer a positive (or negative, depending on what you’re going for) first impression, there is a brand new Photoshop template that helps you to perfect your cover photo so it is no longer wonky.
In looking for alternatives to the 2012 edition of the custom Photoshop template for Facebook cover photos, we came up empty handed and expressed frustration via Facebook. Enter Jes Reynolds (@jesreynolds) who created a functional Photoshop template to help people get their custom cover photos just right.
Looking good, looking bad
One Facebook user flawlessly created a custom cover photo that many have emulated:
Another Facebook user gave it a shot, and while clever, note that it is a bit off (particularly the numbers on the building):
Don’t let your cleverness go to waste with a poorly aligned image. Download the Photoshop template or give it to a creative professional to help you to promote your creativeness or your business.
We’ve helped you get started with your Facebook cover photo with 16 custom cover photos to use and alter, and we’ve shared hundreds of inspirational cover photos (“25 fresh Facebook cover photos to inspire your own,” “50 Facebook timeline covers: examples, best practices,” “50 more timeline covers,” and “50 brands using timeline cover photos“), and given tips on how to format your Facebook cover photo to be less fuzzy, and showed you tools on creating your own timeline cover photo (PicMonkey’s drag and drop collage feature, an iPhone app that helps create cover photos, and a Photoshop template for custom designed cover photos), and informed you as to extra reasons that your cover photo actually matters.
If you use the template, please don’t forget to thank @jesreynolds on Twitter for her creating the 2013 template.
