Flock, social browsing
Before RockMelt was born, Flock took the social networking world by storm. Based on Firefox architecture, the social browser has built-in social sharing and bookmarking as well as an easy built-in blogging tool that allowed users to save time in their content sharing.
In January, Zynga acquired all of the Flock talent but the CEO and the software remained, according to TechCrunch.com. Over the years, Flock has seen $28.3 million in funding.
