Vizzywig 4K goes for $1k
In a rare move, Apple has just recently approved a $999.999 app in the App Store, called Vizzywig 4K which allows users to capture, edit, and distribute 4K video. What 4K video does is shoots 24 images per second, stitched together in a way that allows you to access and edit each individual frame.
The app is only available for the 32GB and 64GB Apple iPhone 5s running on iOS 7, because the “Burst Mode” on the new iOS 8 only allows 10 images taken per second, falling short of the app’s requirements.
Because the app is only available for the now “older” devices and operating systems, will it see more than a handful of adopters?
Maybe, maybe not, but the app is more than just a burst session, coming with the ability to create title slides, scrolling credits, and transition effects. Audio is recorded separately and later synced with the video, allowing for more precise editing.

Now that you’ve seen it, what do you think? Is it worth the spend? While it’s an easy line item for specific types of videographers, and larger brands looking to spruce up their video marketing efforts, we wonder what other niches will take to the Vizzywig 4K app.
