Responsive Heatmaps now in beta

With every tech expert under the sun beating you over the head with the mantra that “mobile is king,” and impressing upon you the importance of having a responsive site (one that adjusts based on what device a visitor is using rather than requiring users to zoom in and out and try to click tiny links from a phone). You get it, you’re responsive. But are your efforts really working?

How do you know?

Heat maps for websites have been around for ages, but they typically only work on visitors to your site that are using a desktop, excluding behavioral analysis for mobile users. But if mobile is the future and you’re supposed to be perfectly responsive and mobile-ready, how are you supposed to gauge the efficacy of your site with mobile users?

Enter Responsive Heatmaps, which offers heat maps and analytics for your mobile users. It is currently in beta, so they’re still working out the kinks and if you want to use it, you have to sign up for (and wait for) an invitation.

Putting the power of conversion back into YOUR hands

As pictured above, it tells you where your users are clicking, how far down they’re scrolling, and gives you a legitimate feel for whether or not your calls to action are working. Maybe they’re in the wrong place, are the wrong color, or hell, maybe some buttons don’t work and visitors just leave without converting.

This tool puts the power of conversion back in your hands, because let’s face it – you’re sold on mobile, and now you just want to make sure it’s working by testing in real time and tweaking until you get it right. And then, testing again in the future to make sure you are optimized based on the trends of that day.
