Improving your smartphone photography

With just a few bucks, and a few tools, you can take your smartphone or tablet photography from zero to hero. Lame cliché, but true. Pop on a lens or remotely control your camera, and you’ve cured some of the ills of smartphone photography in seconds, without costing you an arm or a leg.

Below are three new tools that will help you step up your game without breaking the bank, straight from our favorite photography site, Photojojo.com. Whether you just want to suck less at Instagram or you’re chronicling your favorite subject for your website, these new tools can’t be missed.

1. Photojojo Lens Set

We saved the best for first, by pointing you to the Photojojo Lens Set, and while you can buy each individually, they come at a hefty discount when the set is ordered all at once – and why wouldn’t you? They’re super inexpensive and turn any smartphone or tablet into a more polished photography tool instantly.

Sometimes filters aren’t enough, and whether you’re trying to capture a moment with your team, shoppers in your store, or your surroundings, just screw on one of the lenses and you’ve upped your game in a split second. Fun and useful!

2. Muku Shutter Remote

The Muku Shutter Remote lets you take photos without ever touching your phone! At a photographer friend’s birthday party, we got to play with a wireless shutter remote at their photobooth, and it was a LOT of fun.

But it’s not just for fun photobooths, consider the ability to take photos that you are actually in, without the outstretched arm in the shot – awesome!

3. Polaroid Z2300

The is a digital camera that makes sticky backed instant prints at the push of a button and while it is more expensive than the other accessories, coming in at $199, it is fun to have around.

We think it would be fun for office morale (read: pranks and such), or for your booth at the next major industry convention. Get creative and carry it with you to networking events, add a sharpie to draw devil’s horns or your phone number, and voila, you’re memorable!

Just as with the old fashioned Polaroid, the prints are instant, and you must buy refills, but these are higher quality and turn into stickers, adding an extra layer of fun and creativity. Shake it like a Polaroid picture, yo!
