Coldwell Banker puts their Pandora spin on real estate search

Coldwell Banker’s Blue Search

Not all consumers are right brain thinkers that know exactly what their dream home looks like and the specific dollar amount, and not all are even ready to buy. In what looks to be an effort to capture and entertain those consumers, Coldwell Banker offers Blue Search which is like a clever mashup between real estate search and Pandora.

Users are offered a series of images that invoke a particular feeling and relate to keywords within the search, and users rate each image “thumbs up” or “thumbs down.”

Based on the image ratings, the user is then sent to a search of floating images of homes based on their preferences and can refine searches down by traditional means like price and location. The goal is to match the user’s personality with homes creatively.

We enjoy seeing brokerages take a less traditional take on the very traditional process of searching for real estate.
