KeyReply: quick-reply for grownups
If you spend much of your day on the go and fielding repeated questions from customers, the iOS keyboard app KeyReply wants to save your time and sanity and streamline your responses.
In KeyReply, you can store blocks of text and information that you send often, so that you don’t have to spend time typing responses to the same questions over and over again throughout the day. Users can respond to customer inquiries more quickly and easily by inserting the pre-programed, commonly used responses into a conversation within any app on an iPhone or iPad instead of typing responses fresh each time.
KeyReply is designed for teams
The app is designed for use by teams within a company, to help a team be more efficient and to standardize responses to commonly asked questions. Administrators can set permissions for each user and determine who is allowed to change or add replies to the list.
Using the app is very simple. Once the KeyReply keyboard is enabled on a device, the user can insert a KeyReply response into a message with just three taps: by selecting KeyReply from their list of keyboards, choosing a category, and tapping the desired response. The saved text is then automatically inserted into the selected field.
Another timesaving feature is the “Add as new” button, which saves whatever you just typed, so you can use it again later.
Free versus paid options
Depending on how many teammates you have using KeyReply, it is fairly cost-effective. A basic membership costs $5 per team member per month, and a Pro Team membership, which includes additional customer support, costs $15 per person per month. They also offer a 30-day free trial.
The KeyReply team is also planning to develop an Android app and a Mac menu bar app, which would make it easier to access your frequent responses from the desktop of your Mac computer.
Overall, KeyReply is a genius way to save time and improve uniformity in a team’s communication to customers, but you must decide whether the recurring monthly fee is worthwhile.
