Real estate content marketing
One of the gravest of all marketing sins in 2012 is to have started a blog and let it die. Thousands of real estate blogs that were once vibrant, active communities have gone dormant as negotiations, offline networking events and the ringing phone have taken precedent over online marketing. There are a variety of ghost writing services or even services that prompt you with ideas.
In between the two is ImpressionsRE which is a very new content marketing company that offers content tips and created content for you to use. Users can browse markets and find listings toured and answer consumer questions about them to make a deeper connection or as a means to spark conversation or inspiration for an agent’s own blog.
Of interest to us is ImpressionsRE’s free library of interactive infographics on local markets which offers a snapshot. The company says it is a starting point for a greater conversation as they do not have access to MLS feeds, but the design of the infographics can be used as blog fodder (example below) as they are updated daily:
Consumers are encouraged to log in with Facebook, and the website’s home page knows exactly where you are geographically, suggesting you begin your home search and connect with agents on the site.
The content marketing offering is young and underdeveloped, but offers quite a bit for a newly launched, small operation. It is creative and shows great promise and could be many agents’ answer to the dying or dead blog that could be a much more vibrant marketing tool.
