Your time is limited, crank up your productivity
If you work a 40 hour job, you only have roughly 540 minutes in a workday to cram in as much as possible, and if you’re an entrepreneur, you may have even less due to wearing so many hats. So how can you maximize your time?
Sean Gordon, CEO of Intelliverse notes that communication takes up a huge portion of your day and that prioritizing emails and phone calls can be difficult.
In his own words below, he offers extremely helpful tips on taking back your day:
Manage your communication more efficiently
Communication takes up a huge chunk of time throughout the workday. Between colleagues, clients and partners, it can be difficult to determine which emails, phone calls and messages to take first. Fortunately, there are a few time management tools to help you communicate better and faster.
For example, the Intelliverse Email Tracker allows you to see the status of sent emails, including when they’re opened, how many times they’re opened, on what type of device and which geographic location. These insights increase email productivity by taking the guesswork out of email and helping you know the best time and way to follow up with your contacts.
Internal messaging apps, such as NetSfere, also make it easy to quickly communicate with co-workers. With NetSfere, you can safely communicate business information, including images and files, within chat groups. Because you and your colleagues are tied to your mobile phones, this real-time correspondence helps you communicate faster.
Consolidate your passwords
Nearly every online account you use at work requires a password, and the more time you spend tracking down passwords and hitting the password reset button, the more it’s costing you in productivity.
LastPass Enterprise automates employee logins with stored credentials and generates unique, strong ones for every account, so you don’t have to spend time typing in complicated passwords or looking through files to recall the right login information. LastPass also allows you to grant colleagues access to an account when necessary, without having to send the password in an email.
Invest in project management tools
Collaboration can foster great ideas, but it can also sometimes be a logistical nightmare. Fortunately, there are ways to minimize the logistics and make collaboration a seamless process.
Taskworld is a project management tool that serves as a central hub. It allows you to organize tasks, provide instant feedback and view project metrics in real-time. Since all documents, feedback and assignments are in a centralized location, you won’t waste time browsing around for what you need.
SuperBeam is also a great option for sharing files back and forth. It doesn’t rely on Wi-Fi and can send, receive and upload files faster than sharing via Bluetooth. You can also send an unlimited number of files of any type and size, saving you a lot of time throughout the workday.
