Number one smartphone problem: dead battery
If you have an iPhone, you are likely familiar with the problem of running out of battery at an inopportune time and losing a call, losing data or simply losing productivity. Enter the Cord-on-Board by CaseInity, which stores a USB cord inside your actual iPhone case, the brainchild of a new startup in pre-production phase that is working with a prototype and is seeking funding through Kickstarter.
Kickstarter.com is “the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects,” wherein projects are posted to the site and anyone with a credit card can pledge money to fund the projects, but the twist is that a project must reach its funding goal before time runs out or no money changes hands because “creators aren’t expected to develop their project without necessary funds, and it allows anyone to test concepts without risk.” The site also allows project creators to keep 100 percent ownership over their work and offer products and incentives in return for pledges.
Features of the innovative product
The Cord-on-Board not only helps keep your iPhone battery fresh by keeping your cord handy and ready to plug in, but keeps you ready to connect with another device to share documents and data, perfect for the professional in the field, especially when using an iPhone to store presentation materials.
The startup demonstrates in the video below how the case is not only shock proof but is more ergonomic to the hand than a standard iPhone. Additionally, the case acts as a vertical or horizontal stand for an iPhone which is helpful for showing off pictures or movies or taking pictures or movies with the device. The team asserts that they hate large cases as much as the next person which is why the settled on the ergonomic storage design with this particular thermoplastic material.
The Cord-on-Board appears to come with a screen protector and extremely small car charger in the standard Apple-white design. The project has recently launched and they are very generous to their pledges, more so than many accessory providers – if they meet their goal of $20,000, anyone who pledges $65 gets two first edition Cord-On-Board cases with two USB chargers, a custom USB cord built in and a screen protector. One for you and one for a coworker or family member on the go. Brilliant!
Take a look at their pitch below and consider dropping a few dollars (even if only $1) on their innovative idea:

We were really hoping these guys would be successful, but I don’t think they actually made it with their Kickstarter. It was a tad on the thick side too, so we decided to make out own. Would love to hear your thoughts; you wrote about these guys so nicely. Thank you. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1984298228/case-lynk-never-forget-your-charge-and-sync-cord-a
