Vice President of Interactive
AGBeat is pleased to announce the addition of Elijah May as Vice President of Interactive as AGBeat continues its expansion to serve even more breaking news, business advice and editorials in the business, tech startup, and real estate verticals to small businesses, associations, and entrepreneurs.
Elijah is perfectly suited to bring AGBeat’s vision offline as the company announces new verticals in 2012. Elijah brings over 13 years of public relations and marketing experience to AGBeat, having served as a coordinator on numerous high-profile projects, from major Hollywood films to fundraising and business events.
Following an eight-year stint as a PR specialist for his Alma mater, the University of Southern California, Elijah moved with his family to Austin, where AGBeat is headquartered. He has since served as a communications officer for the Office of Emergency Management, a communications council member for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and is a tourism board Member for the City of Cedar Park, where he still serves as chair of the marketing & advertising subcommittee.
Well known for his advocacy of innovation and entrepreneurship, Elijah launched communication strategies behind the Austin Entrepreneur Network and Texas CEO Magazine, two particularly notable Austin start-ups, before accepting a position as Managing Partner of interactive agency Zuphix.
Through commitment and consistency, Elijah has become a sought-after advisor in Austin’s small business community, and as the new VP of Interactive, he will bring that energy to AGBeat. Elijah is tenacious and shares AGBeat’s belief that by helping businesses and professionals to be more informed, empowered, and better equipped to market, communicate and operate, that the net result would be improved consumer experiences.
Please welcome Elijah in the comments as he joins the team to help empower professionals and to help AGBeat to reach new heights. To reach out to Elijah personally, feel free to email him at elijah@theamericangenius.com.
