New site, new tools
After their major site overhaul revealed last week, Goomzee.com today announced their new offering of a custom-tailored solution for property management professionals which they say is designed by property management professionals to solve common problems that are unique to their sector.
Goomzee provides mobile technology tools for real estate professionals, already serving multiple listing services (MLS), REALTOR Associations and now expanding to property management professionals who now have access to on-site mobile marketing and lead capture through text messaging, QR codes and branded mobile property pages in what the company calls an “all-in-one solution.”
Prospects can text, scan or browse on their phones for property details, meanwhile property managers are instantly alerted of the lead. Goomzee says their service is unique to property managers because their entire inventory can be imported regardless of whether or not it is in the local MLS, and they say it takes only a single click to flag a property as vacant which automatically generates a reusable property ID code and QR code for marketing.
According to reports from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), there are over 340,000 properties under management amongst their members alone and this number is growing. According to NAR, vacancy rates are reported to decline in 2012 by 0.6 percent and rental income is expected to rise given the increased demand over supply.
Mike Sparr, Goomzee CEO, Founder and Genius30 award recipient told AGBeat, “Some of my local REALTOR friends are citing the limited for-sale inventory and longer sales cycles, yet building of rental complexes are booming and citing a shortage. On my drive home each day, for example, I’ve personally witnessed a 120-unit rental complex rising from the ground in the past few months. Despite the uptick in rental income, and reduction in vacancies, the market is responding by rapidly building to meet demand and there will be a need to efficiently fill the new vacancies. Meanwhile, property managers are reporting pressures due to competition on their fees, thus their continued efforts to increase operational efficiency. We recognized an opportunity, and a need, that we’ve been able to address and this is only the beginning.”
Sparr continued, “Not only do we see more clients won simply by demonstrating our technology, but we’ve witnessed firsthand the immediate reduction of administrative costs both in collecting leads and answering general questions about properties.”

I agree on the idea of this mobile marketing. I bet that this would be very handy for small business owners.
