Brand Commandr monitors your team’s social media use (and why you must)

Brand Commandr has launched to monitor your team’s social media use, because they’re using your company name and it’s easy to make a mistake.

Closing your eyes means PR nightmares

Over the last few years, there’s been some great social media blunders that have provided great entertainment for those who weren’t involved. Practically everyone remembers DiGiorno Pizza’s mistake when it tweeted “#WhyIStayed for the pizza” in response to a domestic violence awareness hashtag. Talk about a publicity nightmare. It almost makes you want to stop allowing your employees to use social media to promote your business.

Instead of shutting down your social media accounts, it’s vital that you have accountability for employees who do make posts. Brand Commandr wants to help you do just that. Labeling itself as an employee advocacy tool, Brand Commandr is an app that helps you manage posts to your business social media accounts.

How Brand Commandr works

Your staff creates a post, but before they put it online, it’s submitted into the Brand Commandr app. Then, you or your designated manager decides if it is appropriate for your brand message and company tone. If it is, the post is released back to the person who will place it on the social media account. If not, it is rejected, and saved to DropBox. This way, it can be used at a time when it might be better.

Although Brand Commandr does not interact with your employees personal accounts, it does give them freedom about using the business accounts. They know that what they post is approved and won’t get them into hot water. This will encourage more interaction on social media, which will benefit your bottom line.

Stop stressing over potential problems on your social media accounts and eliminate the guesswork of whether something is right for your brand. Some people are asking if it might be too much control, but when it’s your brand and name on the line you can’t take chances. Getting a second opinion about posts to social media is a good idea for every company, and Brand Commandr gives you an easy system of accountability.
