Does your real estate blog speak to your readers?

Does your real estate blog speak to your readers?

Now, you may think that I mean this in the “make sure you are getting the message across” kind of way. That is important, no question, but I was asking if your blog literally speaks to the readers?

We already discussed the options for speech to text in your blogging, so how about if we explore text to speech together?

There are several types of people who either physically cannot or do not have time to read blog posts. They want the information, but they are busy driving their kids to little league, are running on the treadmill, or are sight impaired. As real estate bloggers, we need to be accessible to our potential clients in whatever way works best for them not simply because it is polite but because it can mean the difference between a gained or a lost closing.

Text to speech technology

Odiogo is a service that takes your written blogs and makes them speak, for real! According to Odigo’s homepage, their “media-shifting technology expands the reach of your content: It transforms news sites and blog posts into high fidelity, near human quality audio files ready to download and play anywhere, anytime, on any device.”

Not only can readers listen to your blog posts directly from your site, they can access them as a podcast to hear on the go as well.

The service works for WordPress, Blogger, TypePad, BlogEngine.NET and Terapad platforms. I have installed it and tested it on my own WordPress site and it works, great!

This addition to your real estate blogging efforts can make you accessible to a whole new consumer audience that craves your information! This feature is not widely used and for accessibility standards, consumers that are seeking this feature will be pleased at your thoughtfulness and thoroughness.
