Pass the word: Critic posts meal feedback online
As I write this, Critic is only about a month old and located in France which explains why the Beta examples are all European. I anticipate that as Critic catches on we’ll see more local dishes and locales closer to home.
Eat, drink and be merry
That said, it seems like a good idea: I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been out with friends and family and someone inevitably snaps a picture of the main course or whatever it is we’re nibbling on. Now that photo can be used for good:
Great food, great reviews
As per its website, Critic is a simple app to make better looking food reviews which stand out in your followers’ Instagram feeds. Simply take a picture of your dish, fill out the details, and give it a rating. Usecritic.com will generate a visual food review that can be shared on Instagram. Use the hashtag #usecritic and the site will share it with the community.
Great publicity
If I had a restaurant or catering business or anything that involved preparing food for the masses you better believe I’d be pushing this app! On the assumption that I have a great tasting product, I’d even consider placing a blurb about usecritic.com on my menu, on a small table plaque or posted in the window.
If you’re going to take the time to eat a meal, why not go the extra step and post some meaningful feedback about it? You can now pass on this food-intel to fellow entrepreneurs, food trucks, restaurants, caterers, and other independents and let them know why they should care, not to mention suggesting to others to try it out.
Usecritic.com. Still in its Beta mode but don’t let that stop you from joining in on the fun.
