An even better Twitter chat
Last month, we discovered a website called t.imo.im that allows you to set up a chat room using your Twitter account, which is extremely helpful in situations where 140 characters isn’t quite enough to get the job done.
Unfortunately, after playing with t.imo.im, I’ve completely lost interest due to its clunky, outdated interface and I’m pretty sure everyone that helped us test it out already forgot it exists as well. That sounds harsh, but with the difficult to remember URL to the ugly site, we have been seeking out alternatives since we believe that a chat function is useful for Twitter and until Twitter itself offers this function, we need an alternative.
Also seemingly on the quest for a Twitter chat client is MG Siegler who found “Picnics,” a chat offering through Twitter application Brizzly.com. Siegler indicates that it’s nothing revolutionary and we agree that it’s not new, but it answers to the chat room feature we’ve been seeking. The interface is beautiful and easy to use and we plan on using it as situations call for it.
Brizzly is more than just a chat client, it’s a Twitter application for managing your Twitter use, here’s how it works:
