Here at The American Genius, we’ve been writing to you for years about business news, marketing tricks, and best practices for your growing brand or career. But did you know we offer a lot of offline events for you as well? And they’re all free!
We’re headquartered in Austin, so most of our efforts are in our own backyard as we do our part to enrich the community, be it amongst our tech peers, our business friends, or entrepreneurial leaders. Below are three upcoming events that you are most sincerely invited to. We mean it, we’d love to meet you!
Dec. 7: Big Ass Social Happy Hour
The Big Ass Social Happy Hour (BASHH) is Austin’s favorite networking event. It’s a relaxed mixer filled with professionals of all backgrounds that feel awkward knowing each other online but not offline. The ties come off, there are no speakers or panels, no lame pitches, no egos; all are welcomed to relax and have happy hours! You’ll meet startup folks, fashion bloggers, foodies, architects, writers, developers, and we all come together over a good ol’ fashioned drink with no pressure.

Dec. 8: Stump The Developer
STUMP The Developer is a challenge issued to the tech industry – bring your toughest questions and challenges and see if you can stump the expert. If you can, you’ll earn a seat next to the expert and possibly be stumped by someone else (and get prizes, of course). There will be pizza and beer, so come give our expert, Elias Carlston your best shot while Ben Thoma emcees like an ultra chill Flava Flav.

Dec. 14: Austin Digital Jobs Recruiting Mixer
This a sprint of an event, with a little over two hours to meet employers at booths to find out what jobs are available at Austin tech companies, or companies hiring tech talent. Bring your resumes, have a beer, and we’ll get out of your way since we’ve already lined up employers that want to meet you!
