Get out of the loop
If you’re anything like me and have seen the Spike Jonze movie “Her” multiple times, then the new AI app Unloop will sound oddly familiar. The newest artificial intelligence app promises to add more adventure to your life by making personalized suggestions for nearby events, activities, and even people to connect with. In other words, it’s the perfect companion to get you out of your comfort zone.
How does Unloop know me so well?
If you are unfamiliar with the marketing strategies of digital advertising, most websites you visit use cookies that store data based on what you look up, making it easier to suggest things to buy. Unloop works in a very similar manner.
The app generates a unique personality profile, which develops over time as it becomes more familiar with things you’ve enjoyed or places you have visited in the past.
Unloop uses this data along with the secret ingredient algorithm to continually update your profile and make even more accurate suggestions.
Benefits of Unloop
With Unloop, you not only get a uniquely tailored experience, but you also gain more time to have those adventures in the first place. One of the main benefits of the app is reducing the endless hours you waste searching “Best Things To Do in…” or “Restaurants Serving the Most Delicious Breakfast Tacos.” I know that I have spent ridiculous amounts of time trying to figure out what to do or where to eat. Sometimes the search becomes a black hole and you just keep finding more and more information which only reaffirms your indecisiveness.
Unloop does all of the heavy lifting for you, and provides you with options based on your personality. I can see Unloop being especially handy for travelers.
Whether you are visiting a new place or you have guests coming to you, the app will already know what you enjoy, making the whole “What should we do today?” question a lot easier to answer.
As of now, the best part of Unloop is that it’s free. Though they have yet to release it, you can sign up for the early launch on their website. Soon you will be able to start chatting with your very own Unloop coach, and see if their suggestions really do benefit your way of life.
