WellcomeMat partners with StudioNow, doubles size of video talent pool

Real estate video’s marketing advantage

For years, we’ve advocated for quality real estate video as a massive marketing advantage in any economic climate and even reported on polls that reveal real estate practitioners’ supporting opinions. Our opinion remains that real estate video does give Realtors a competitive advantage, but only when done well – as we said in August, “A shaky 1997 cell phone video tour that looks like the Blair Witch Project won’t give anyone an advantage outside of the horror film industry.”

In that vein, we often promote the concept of hiring a professional videographer and one of the ways to do that is through sites like WellcomeMat.com which has a network of videographers. Today, WellcomeMat is announcing their new partnership with AOL’s StudioNow which offers national video production services and doubles the size of the video talent pool at WellcomeMat, bringing the total number of available videographers to roughly 8,000.

The company said in a statement that the agreement “enables real estate brokerages, brands and individual professionals to order high quality videos from StudioNow and seamlessly integrate, distribute and measure their content via the WellcomeMat mobile and web video platform.”
