HomeAway hops into the growing luxury market
It can be confusing to some because the economy is still far below pre-crash levels, but the truth is that the burgeoning luxury market is being catered to by the tech world in more unique ways every day. Today, HomeAway has launched a new site, Luxury Rentals by Homeaway, which is a collection of luxe vacation rentals that have been curated by the experts at Andrew Harper, ensuring that all listed rentals meet the qualification of luxury, and have been evaluated using a 75-point screening process that evaluates attributes such as price, services, location, amenities and more.
Rather than simply aggregate endless data, this specific site offers curated content, putting an interesting twist on offering a luxury brand, indicating the increasing popularity of the concierge style business model.
800+ luxury rentals already on the site already
At launch, the site will offer more than 800 luxury vacation rental options in 40 countries. Properties featured range from villas to estates, and offer luxury amenities like wine cellars, gourmet kitchens, cinemas, and admittedly “over-the-top” features like helicopter landing pads, private yacht access, and equestrian centers.
“We created Luxury Rentals from HomeAway as the ultimate resource for the growing number of travelers looking to stay in truly exceptional vacation accommodations,” says Brian Sharples, CEO of HomeAway. “Over time, we expect it to become the largest global resource for finding luxury rentals from both individual owners and high-end property managers.”
For owners and property managers with exceptional vacation rental properties and services, Luxury Rentals from HomeAway provides a proven marketing channel to access HomeAway’s audience of highly targeted, experience-focused travelers. In addition to owner managed properties, the site also features inventory from some of the leading luxury vacation rental management companies including LaCure Villas, Luxury Retreats and Travel Keys.
