We all need resume help
Job hunting is stressful enough on it’s own, but add in the pressure of having a resume that accurately depicts your experience and impresses the pants off of employers? Fuhgetaboutit.
We get it, so we’re going to focus on resumes of our next live event, so we can learn together from an expert what exactly employers want to see. Are there any red flags you’re accidentally throwing? Are you failing to convey something that you didn’t even know was important? Should it be printed on pink paper and perfumed? Should it be delivered with a bribe?
In the below AMA (Ask Me Anything), we chat with Sam Arnold, Talent & Communications Strategist at Liaison Creative + Marketing, a full-service marketing firm that provides end-to-end marketing communications to enterprise organizations of all sizes. We’re excited to learn what Sam has to say, especially since we just learned that he’s a pretty serious musician (so you can ask him about that too, if you want)! We’re going to have a blast, join us:

I’m Walter Earl Roper from University of Illinois. Been at Pfizer Pharmaeuticals, HP Enterprise Systems amongst others combining database and BioTech. Who are the database players in Austin? Who are the Oracle Players here. I hear much of work is leaving the chip busines in Texas (like TI, etc.)
I’m in the Arboretum (NW) I can be reached at roperw@uisalumni.org. My better-half is at DPS doing the same database engineering,
Guidance Greatly Appreiated,

Hey Walter, the truth is that Oracle themselves is set to open up shop here and hire 5,000ish people, might be a good place to start!
