This visual habit tracker can help upkeep your New Year’s goals

Keeping up with your goals and progress can be a pain, but the Everyday visual habit tracker is here to help.

Everyday visual habit tracker

Good habits are notoriously hard to maintain and disastrously easy to break. In this period of time during which people often strive to become better versions of themselves, establishing and keeping up with new and healthier habits is common; this is something that Everyday, a habit tracker for Apple and Android products, aims to aid – and in the most stylish manner possible.

Everyday is a colorful visual habit tracker that adapts to streaks by becoming more vibrant the longer you maintain a habit.

Everything from the number of days you can see on the screen to the colors different habits use is customizable, and the app provides you with various metrics such as the number of days your selected habit has been practiced.

Everyday is also available as a web app, coming complete with an extension that sets it as your homepage so that you can check on your goals for the day as they develop.

The way it works is similar to any other planner: Add a category, choose a label color, and check progressive boxes next to your habit category. You can even go back and “skip” a box if you forget to fill in your tracker for a day or two, and boxes allow for a partial fill as well.

After a couple of weeks of tracking various habits, Everyday will show distinct trends via a colorful display. If you’re a particularly visual learner, this display will come as a welcome alternative to a simple list of checkmarks or shaded boxes; simply put, the more visually appealing and vibrant rows indicate habits for which you have shown consistency, while rows with blank spaces, lighter colors, or half-filled boxes represent developing habits.

For habits you currently have and want to break, Everyday simply reverses the color gradient, starting off in darker shades and meandering toward lighter ones with each day of progress.

Everyday has some fairly simple but powerful email settings as well, one of which notifies you if you’re attempting to skip a day of a habit more than once in a row. None of these settings reinvent the wheel, but they’re solid if you need the extra push.

If you’re interested in Everyday, you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or visit the Everyday website to sign up for the web app.
