Photo sharing comes full circle to physical prints
Photo sharing iPhone app has just launched Postagram which allows you to take high quality pictures and with a click, turn them into a physical postcard to be sent anywhere in the States for $0.99. Then, the photo pops out of the postcard so the recipient can frame it- cool!
It is not the most cost effective tool for mass produced postcards, but if you’re in the field, this could be a really fun tool for you to show off to your clients that results in some easy touch marketing for you!
Postagram for Realtors
Imagine you’re at the closing table with a couple buying their first home. The three of you nervously sit in the lobby of the title company and chit chat while you wait. Small talk about the ugly chairs but awesome wall art commences. You pull out your iPhone and say, “hey, let’s make a postcard of you that will be sent before we leave this lobby.” Show them the app, tell them to say cheese, and you’ve captured the moment that they’re buying their first house. Now what couple in their right mind doesn’t immediately show their parents and friends when they get a cool photo postcard of themselves like that?
You could use it at events (“we finally meet IRL, let’s take a pic, now I’m going to mail it to you!”), closings, open houses (“dear seller, here is a picture of your home packed with buyers, great job on getting everything pulled together, we know it was stressful”), at local neighborhoods (“hey, we can’t wait for you to come down to New Orleans, here is a photo of the first neighborhood we’re going to tour when you arrive” with a silly picture of your face in the corner of a shot of the neighborhood entrance). It’s the perfect thank you card!
At a dollar a pop, it’s a pretty fun way to do some creative marketing, don’t you think?

Yeah, I use PicPlz which is like instagram for Android (and iPhone) and if you look through all my pics, it's mostly our cats. I'd have to change my behavior in order to have usable post cards… lol
