SXSW V2V is SXSW only different – why?

SXSW can be incredibly intimidating for a first-timer. So intimidating in fact, many new startups and businesses avoid it completely. While avoiding SXSW may seem like a good idea when you’re just getting started, you could be missing out on some incredible opportunities. However, if you really don’t think you can handle SWSW, V2V may be for you.

V2V is SXSW’s smaller conference, hosted in Las Vegas and it’s going down this month. It’s smaller, more personal, and more creative; definitely a good combination for the SXSW-hesitant. V2V is a four day event for startups and entrepreneurs, featuring educational panels and discussions, intensive hands-on learning, and networking events.

Helping newcomers get their feet wet

V2V serves as an introduction to the core of the SXSW Family of events: technology, music, film, fashion, health, education, sustainability, and more. V2V can help new-comers get their feet wet, learn more about the movers and shakers of their industries, make new connections, and inspire you to take their ideas and talents to the next level: SXSW in Austin.

The four day event will have approximately 80 mentors that will be meeting with attendees one-on-one; along with workshops and Core Conversations to discuss common issues in groups. Three of the key presenters, Damien Patton, Dave McClure, and Brady Forrest are well-known experienced leaders in their industries.

Key presenters are some of the best in the biz

Patton is the founder and CEO of Banjo. Banjo is a mobile technology company that provides real time content discovery by location across all major social networks. Patton leads the product development and technology strategy, resulting in a global presence of over 3.5 million users in just 17 months.

McClure and Forrest will be offering advice and what they’ve learned through coaching hundreds of startups to success. They will also be speaking about their new Syfy show, the Bazillion Dollar Club, which will follow the two through their business dealings. McClure is a drill sergeant, who founded software accelerator 500 Startups, and Forrest is the quirky and creative mind behind the hardware accelerator Highway1. Their companies offer two of the world’s most aggressive accelerator programs that mentor startups leading up to the launch of their billion dollar idea.
