DocuSign users should check out their Google Drive integration

With the integration, Google users will be able to take advantage of DocuSign features as they can send documents needing an e-signature directly from Google Drive on any browser or mobile device.

docusign

DocuSign’s technology is used by companies for signing digital invoices, business agreements and other official documents in a safe and secure way. Aimed at everyone from individual professionals to the enterprise level, DocuSign touts its e-signature services for saving both time and money by eliminating the need for paper copies and related tasks (i.e. printing, faxing, etc.).

DocuSign users can upload a digital document to the service and request specific people to sign it digitally with a unique signature or initial.

You can use this for banking, insurance, work, legal documents or for any other variety of needs. Technology companies like Cisco, Comcast, eBay, Hewlett-Packard and others are already using the service.

Anytime, anywhere

The added feature of DocuSign is that it integrates with Google Drive. The digital signature provider brings its standard but secure services to “hundreds of millions” of Google users. DocuSign is the essential signing tool for any of your Google Drive documents. With the integration, Google users will be able to take advantage of DocuSign features as they can send documents needing an e-signature directly from Google Drive on any browser or mobile device, and their customers can sign anytime and anywhere on any device. Likewise, you can sign and send back any document that needs a signature all from within Google Drive.

Templates and envelopes

The best part is that you can login to DocuSign with your Google credentials to get documents signed from Google Drive or Gmail. You can also apply a template, create new envelopes, and attach documents stored in Google Drive when sending an envelope.

The feature lets you send docs, spreadsheets, drawings, forms, and presentations.

Once completed, the signed document is returned to Drive.

Legally binding

If you use Google Drive or Gmail, then you can easily install the DocuSign for Google Drive connector to start signing or sending your documents with just a few clicks. When you sign or send a document, the signed copy including the Certificate of Completion will be returned to a “DocuSign – Completed” folder automatically for you.

DocuSign also offers a service called DocuSign Ink that allows anyone to drag and drop their signatures on documents to make them legally binding.

The service works with native iPad, iPhone and Android apps and can also used with Microsoft’s Outlook email client. It can be used to sign Microsoft Office files, PDF files with form field recognition, scanned and faxed documents and all text and image files.
