We all have goals. While some may be better at achieving goals than others, we all have something that we strive for.
These goals may be big, like to work our way up to CEO, or they may be small, like run a minimum of five miles per week. Regardless of the size of the goal, there must be some form of discipline and determination involved in order to attain accomplishment.
Organization is the end-all be-all
Now, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, discipline and determination are great, but organization is key. Keeping some sort of a list or calendar that aligns with your goals is almost like a pen-to-paper contract with yourself.
That being said, I would argue that organization in relation to goal accomplishment is easier on an individual, rather than team level. While goal accomplishment is more likely in a group setting as there is more accountability, organization and communication can sometimes lack.
Lattice: Goal Setting 101
Getting a team on one page in an effort to achieve a goal is the mission of Lattice. Lattice is a platform designed to enable goal setting for the individual, team, or company all in one place.
Operating in a simplistic and visual manner, Lattice helps a team to see how a company’s goals are connected, how they are progressing, and who shares what responsibility. Teams can collaboratively set goals, stay focused on priorities, and check in weekly with members.
Focus on priorities
Lattice works to clarify and reinforce a company’s top goals and presents that to the entire team through the interface. And, through visibility and tracking, the team is able to be 100 percent in alignment with the company’s goals.
The two elements that Lattice emphasizes are: focus on your priorities, and you optimize what you measure.
By focusing on priorities, team members’ time and attention is able to be aimed toward the main objective. By setting clear priorities, the team’s focus is directed at achieving those goals.
Simple, user-friendly interface
The interface is designed very simply in a user-friendly format. The goals feed is broken down into “My goals”, “Teams”, and “Company”. Active goals are presented on the home page and are color-coded for significance.
Finally, Lattice offers an activity feed, similar to a social media timeline, that allows for team communication. It displays each team members and stipulates what goals they are responsible for.
At the end of the day…
Goal accomplishment is not always an easy feat. However, with discipline, determination, and organization, you just may be able to climb the lattice.
