Second Century Ventures, the investment arm of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) has announced plans to expand their REACH accelerator program to the United Kingdom.
The program is designed to bring tech startups, from insurance, financial services, marketing, data, and business productivity to service the hundreds of thousands of small and medium sized businesses that make up the real estate industry. REACH accelerates brands into the real estate industry.
REACH offers deep mentorship from association executives, real estate practitioners, to other companies that have gone through the program, fast tracking any brand past the learning curve. You don’t know what you don’t know, and the program busts companies beyond that phase.
This week, REACH expands to the UK, but did you know it’s already in Canada (as of last month) and Australia (as of June 2019)?
REACH UK will be led by Valentina Shegoyan, who brings over 15 years of experience in real estate, technology, and financial advisory.
“I am excited to join the Second Century Ventures team and lead the REACH UK program,” Shegoyan said. “Real estate professionals and proptech entrepreneurs play critical roles in driving innovation in real estate. I look forward to strengthening the connection between those creating new technology and those eager to apply it in their businesses while further enhancing REACH’s global network of innovators and real estate professionals.”
“It speaks to the overwhelming success and efficacy of REACH’s international ambitions that we are able to name the UK our third region of expansion in less than one year,” said Bob Goldberg, CEO of the National Association of Realtors® and President of Second Century Ventures.
“With shared eagerness between U.S. and U.K. industries to support and advance real estate,” Goldberg added, “we look forward to amplifying REACH’s global impact as we extend the program to a new continent and a new network of innovators.”
