Tech Edge on the edge of tech
Sometimes, the real estate market is painfully slow, and all you can do is hurry up and wait. But for many realtors, learning to move fast, grow fast, and change fast is essential. Let’s think – what’s something that’s constantly moving, growing, changing, and doing all that faster than ever before?
That’s right, technology – it’s the answer to so many of our problems, and the National Association of Realtors is hosting a series of Tech Edge events across the country to educate realtors on what exactly tech can do for them.
Tapping into trends
According to NAR, the purpose of the one-day technology conference series is to “help Realtors® stay well informed of the latest business technology skills and trends changing the real estate industry.” The NAR Tech Edge press release promises “short sessions on the latest tech trends” and “local technology advocate speakers,” because “each event reflects the local market needs and trends on technology.” Those who register for an event should “walk out with action items to build [their] business.”
Areas of focus include technical topics like Google Analytics, data security, and cloud computing, as well as productivity tools, photography and staging, online branding, and social media marketing.
Presenters and emcees for NAR Tech Edge’s 2017 tour include Realtor® Bill Lublin, CEO of the Social Media Marketing Institute and Century 21 Advantage Gold; NAR Director of Member Engagement Nobu Hata; Amy Chorew, vice president of Learning at Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate; and Jeff Lobb, CEO and founder of SparkTank Media.
