Placester

Good news for anyone that uses Placester, the real estate website and marketing platform.

Placester is extending its partnership with the National Association of Realtors to bring a basic “NAR Edition” website to the association’s 1.2 million members at no charge.

Sweet deal

With the Placester partnership, NAR members will also receive discounts on advanced website features and products. These benefits will be made available through the Realtor Benefits Program.

Placester and NAR forged this partnership to reduce business expenses from realtors, who spend a median of $70 to maintain a website.

Additionally, nine in 10 homebuyers cite websites as their most useful source of information, so running a website efficiently is more critical than ever to staying competitive in the real estate industry.

Piece of cake

As with WordPress and other site builder platforms, Placester’s “IDX websites” aim to make the construction process simple and efficient, especially for those without experience hand-coding web pages. That’s why, with their free site members receive a responsive website for both web and mobile that includes IDX listing integration capability, a mortgage calculator, editable page templates, a homepage with customizable image slideshow, social media integration, the ability to add branding, and more – all for no charge.

For an extra charge, members can also receive to premium tools, which include integrated CRM and drip marketing tools, among others.

This partnership may have benefits beyond the individual agents who choose to use it. As more people adopt and use the platform for a singular purpose, Placester will increase its access to data on site usage and effectiveness for real estate agents.

It’s not an unusual practice.

WordPress already does it to a small degree. If it can work out the data storage solutions to make it happen, Placester could understand which basic and premium site features are used most, and they could tell which features most effectively convert potential leads into satisfied customers. That data is potentially useful to the National Association of Realtors as well, because sharing those insights with members improves their competitive advantage. That’s a pretty good incentive to sell more members.

All good things

All in all, this partnership has lots of potential benefits for the real estate industry. If you’re a member struggling with the maintenance of your website, this is definitely worth a look.
