Earlier this week, Onboard Informatics announced their plans to acquire AddressReport. They expect the acquisition to be completed by the end of the first quarter. If you’re not familiar with AddressReport, their technology gives you a “background check” of sorts on a property. Essentially, you enter an address on their site, then they analyze millions of records from Onboard and present you with an unbiased, easy-to-read report regarding the property and the neighborhood.
More data, all-in-one report
Home buyers and renters no longer move into a place without doing a little research and AddressReport is one place people are using frequently. Onboard will utilize this platform to enhance its existing service and offer clients a turnkey solution to help businesses provide co-branded reports on their sites. Reports will include information like crime levels, school district ratings, commute statistics, and more. With this additional data, businesses will be able to offer customized reports to visitors and potentials clients, which will in turn drive sales.
A good fit
Onboard Informatics Co-Founder and President, Jonathan Bednarsh, states, “The public’s appetite for this type of information continues to grow. In early testing, the statistics we use to measure consumer interest– open rates, click-through rates, and the like – have dramatically exceeded the industry average, and we’ve just begun to scratch the surface of what’s possible. It’s exciting.”
The acquisition came about as Onboard feels AddressReport is a good fit with their mission: “Onboard’s mission is to continually seek ways to help our clients engage and nurture their customers using local content. AdressReport’s simple user interface and elegant output makes our data more effective for our clients. This wholly acquisition wholly supports the Onboard mission,” states Bednarsh.
“Compelling information that engages”
“We’re excited about what’s going to happen once we connect AddressReport’s platform with Onboard’s data,” said Kayvon Bina, AddressReport Co-Founder and President. “They possess the largest and most comprehensive repository of local data used by technology, real estate, and media companies. This will allow the AddressReport platform to do what it was designed to do – crank out dynamic, compelling information that engages.”
The exact terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, however, both platforms seem optimistic about the merger.
